A published researcher, he is engaged in clinical research with an interest in enhancing understanding and eventually predicting the likelihood of particular patient outcomes. Dr. Scholten was awarded a public research grant in 2012 to study the information acquired in the PBRN by the Canadian CAM Research Fund. In 2012, he was awarded a Certificate of Merit in Clinical Research from the National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association.
Dr. Scholten originally considered a career in health care because he liked the idea of being able to spend his life contributing to his community by improving the quality of someone’s life. The amazing health benefits experienced by many family members through upper cervical chiropractic care led Dr. Scholten to pursue a career in chiropractic.
